Our next Charity Drive starts September 2026!
We are working with five charities this year.
Each supports a different group in need with individual requests.

Located in Carrollton, Texas, is a national nonprofit organization who delivers hand knitted items to provide warmth and comfort to vulnerable communities. Since 1997, they have provided over 1.5 million handknitted and crocheted blankets and clothing made by volunteers to people in need.
Needs: Adult and child hats, mittens, scarves (6”x60” or 6”x70”), all sizes of blankets, and 7”x9” sections (with tails woven in) which will be sewn into full size blankets by volunteers.
Yarn: Medium weight, 100% acrylic, for easier laundering and less of a chance of allergies.
Recipients: Depending on the need, items are sent to women’s shelters, nursing homes, children’s hospitals, daycare centers, veteran’s homes, churches, AIDS facilities, homeless shelters or American Red Cross chapters.

VCU Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA
Located in Richmond, Virginia is a compassionate care organization dedicated to supporting patients and families during the end-of-life stages. They believe that dignity, comfort, and care are not luxuries, they are essentials.
Needs: They are looking for red, white and blue throw blankets and lap blankets for their veteran’s initiative.
Yarn: There are no yarn or fiber restrictions, as long as it is clean.
Recipients: The blankets will go to patients who are veterans currently on hospice. They have many who are at home, in facilities, and even in the hospital at VCU in Richmond, VA. They will be incorporated into their admissions for new patients, as a comfort item that is very much appreciated during a tough transition.

Iris House Cork Cancer Support
Located in Cork, Ireland, has been a safe space since 2012, for anyone impacted by cancer in Cork. They offer more than just services – they offer connection, care, and a community that understands. They are focused on building a supply of comforting handmade pieces for clients undergoing cancer treatment which are always deeply appreciated.
Needs: Full-size or lap blankets, and knitted squares which will be joined by volunteers into larger blankets.
Yarn: No yarn or fiber restrictions, but soft, washable yarns are ideal, especially acrylic or cotton blends that are gentle on sensitive skin and easy to care for.
Recipients: The blankets will go directly to individuals undergoing cancer treatment and their facilities, offering a tangible gesture of care and comfort.

Located in Felton, Delaware, this group tries to bring some comfort to those undergoing chemotherapy by providing stylish handmade caps to lift their spirits and keep them warm.
Needs: Adult hats for both men and women in all colors and styles of hats to satisfy a variety of personal tastes.
Yarn: Machine wash/dry yarn only. NO wool or hand-wash only items. Machine washable wool blends should be marked as such to avoid giving them to a patient with an allergy.
Recipients: The hats will go directly to women and men undergoing cancer treatment. Boxes of hats are shipped out to individuals and treatment centers across the U.S.

Located Plymouth, New Hampshire, Common Man for Ukraine is a Rotary-sponsored initiative that has sent 15 convoys of humanitarian aid to border towns in Ukraine. Common Man for Ukraine works in partnership with Rotary in Poland to identify orphanages and safe houses for delivery of goods. Common Man is a hospitality group in NH and their non-profit initiative is Common Man for Ukraine. In December 2026 they will send another convoy filled with hand-knit and crocheted socks, mittens and hats for orphans, displaced children, and families affected by the war.
Needs: Adult and child socks, hats, and mittens.
Yarn: Wool or wool blend yarn preferred.
Recipients: Orphans, displaced children and families.
